The Sampson Ti race cassettes are a bit heavier, but are a bit tougher as they are made from plates of 6/4 titanium! The cogs are then fully polished, so the chain doesn’t hang up as titanium is a “sticky” metal. Weight of an average 11-25 10-speed cassette is about 135 g., about a 50 g. reduction vs. DA or Red. We project that average cassette life is 3k to 6k depending on how much you clean and lube your chain and cassette! At just $399, the Ti cassette is a nice treat! Available in late spring! |
