Sampson Component Groups

Are you amazed that Sampson has groups? Sampson had a full group that it produced for about 2 years around 1996 that had Sachs shifters and derailleurs in concert with our Sampson components! At the time, the Sampson group was over a pound lighter than Dura Ace!

A few years back, Sampson entered into an agreement where we re-designed the shifter and derailleur package with AD-II, who developed the original design. Combining light weight with toughness, the new Sampson Stratics and Stratics SL groups are becoming a favorite! The Sampson Intuishift™ shifters let you keep full control, yet have instant shifts—even with heavy gloves!

Sampson has always been the choice of top athletes, and our 2010 pedals are huge in more ways than one! With a 62 mm platform width, they are much larger than Speedplay, Look KeoMax, even our old Stratics ! The new Stratics s5/s6 are as light as 99 g. each, super tough, and amazingly fast in and out! Looks like a few more medals are on the way!
